We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Sustaining Engineer to support our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system implementation and CAD integration. This role will be critical in maintaining the integrity of technical documentation, engineering software integration, workflow development, and efficiency improvement. This role ensures the PLM environment remains stable, performs optimally, and accurately serves the needs of our engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, particularly in managing released product data.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
CAD & PLM Integration:
Develop and maintain the integration between Autodesk Vault, Inventor, EPLAN, and the Arena PLM system.
Ensure version control, metadata synchronization, and data consistency across engineering software platforms.
Workflow Design & Implementation:
Create and maintain standardized workflows for drawing release, BOM management, and change requests.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize procedures for data hand-off between CAD, PLM, and ERP.
Automation & Efficiency Tools:
Support the implementation of automation tools (e.g., iLogic, Python, or Vault scripting) to streamline repetitive engineering tasks.
Technical Documentation Maintenance & Integration:
Own and maintain product documentation, including specifications, drawings, work instructions, and test reports.
Standardize how drawings, 3D models, and EPLAN schematics are linked with PLM records and change processes.
Coordinate the review and approval process of engineering documents through the PLM workflow.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and drive process improvements related to documentation control, PLM workflows, and BOM accuracy.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and validation efforts.

Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and processes,
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and their integration with PLM, particularly for document control.
Experience with CAD software and its interaction with PLM for drawing and model management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis for data integrity issues.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external partners.
