The Role

We are setting up our supply chain with outsourced production with partnering contract manufacturers. The Supply Chain Planner is a new role in Skytree and will be responsible for planning and controlling all goods flows from materials supply to sub assembly to final assembly and customer delivery. You will set up and maintain the Sales and Operations Plans (S&OP), coordinate and control the planning and execution of production with our partner contract manufacturers, and monitor the production progress (plan vs actual). You play a crucial role in customer order acceptance and communicate with the commercial team. In cross-functional vendor teams (QLTCS) you will be responsible for inventory management, global warehouse footprint and logistics and report to the Operations Manager.


Your tasks will include:

  • Set up, own and control the S&OP and coordinate with the sales department, finance and contract manufacturers and monitor weekly and monthly production plans.

  • Set inventory levels, prevent excess inventory and obsolescence. Project forward-looking inventory positions considering product changes, phase-in phase-out, and financial implications.

  • Build relationships with planners from contract manufacturers, suppliers, transportation and warehousing to secure timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts.

  • Administer and monitor supply chain transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning system (MS D365 F&O)and prepare reports to provide overview of movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production and sales. Traceability, monitor and control consignment inventory in WIP.

  • Define policy of information exchange amongst logistics partners and Skytree.

  • Develop and monitor internal and external scenarios and key performance indicators including forecast accuracy and vendor scorecard (3PLs/CMO) metrics for continuous improvement and generate and comment on reports and dashboard to the Skytree executive team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Economics, or related technical disciplines.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in planning industrial production for machine building, mechatronics or (high) tech industry with outsourced production.

  • Experience with Forecast and Operations Planning and Master Production Scheduling (MTS, MTO).

  • Ability to lead meetings with stakeholders that have different interests (like sales, production and finance).

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude, proficient in setting up spreadsheets for planning and control.

  • Experience with SCM in ERP systems, (MS-D365 F&O is a plus).

  • Experience in dynamic product/market environments, including processes for New Product Introduction, Inventory/Working Capital Management, Phase-in Phase-out, Change Control, End of Life, and Last Time Buys.

  • Good communication skills and fluency English
