As we enter a new phase of growth, we are looking for a proactive Senior Bid Specialist to continue on this journey with us.

THE ROLE

Skytree’s unique, comprehensive and scalable Direct Air Capture technology is suitable for both small scale installations as well as industrial scale deployments with investments sometimes exceeding €100 million revenue. Qualifying for those projects requires the creation of very professional proposals, often following a format defined by our customers and partners. We want to maximize our chances of winning large scale projects by submitting best of industry bids, and for this we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Bid Specialist to join our Sales Operations team and support our Strategy team’s efforts in identifying and securing new business opportunities through bids, requests for information (RFIs), and requests for proposals (RFPs).

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid response process, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals and creating relevant subsidy submissions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our bidding strategies and processes. This role is based in our Amsterdam headquarters.

YOU’LL MAKE IMPACT BY

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive document repository and up to date database of bid information, including technical information, pricing data, and a wide variety of general information required for bids and submissions.
  • Analyze customer requirements and bid-related documentation to understand project scope, deliverables, and evaluation criteria.

  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, finance, HR, Product Engineering and Legal, to gather information, coordinate bid resources, and ensure compliance with internal processes and guidelines.

  • Prepare cost estimates and financial analysis for each bid and discuss the financial strategy within the bid team to support bid development and decision-making.

  • Write appealing executive summaries and review content from all stakeholders and convert everything into easy to read text blocks, tables and models.

  • Coordinate and manage submission creation and processes, including ensuring that all required documentation is complete, requirements are met, and work with internal people as well as external subsidy consultants to create effective subsidy submissions.

  • Monitor and analyze bid performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize bid strategies and processes.

  • Analyze public sources for relevant (public) tenders and subsidy opportunities in collaboration with the Strategy Team.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bid activities, including bid status, outcomes, and lessons learned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Masters degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years experience in bid management or a similar role, preferably in a relevant industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools, such as Google suite, CRM systems and bid management tools.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

  • Fluency in English is required and Dutch is a plus.
