The Role
As the Quality Manager for our carbon capture devices, you are responsible for setting up the processes and systems needed for Quality Assurance and Control. You will work closely with our outsourced production and sourcing partners and in-house product design, engineering, R&D and Servicing teams to develop and implement quality control and assurance programs, procedures, and policies. Our strategy is an uncompromised quality of our products, in which you will play a vital role.
Your tasks will include:
Develop from scratch and implement quality assurance and control plans, procedures, and policies to ensure that our carbon capture machine meets or exceeds defined quality standards
Define mechanisms for quality control (inspection) and remedial actions (e.g. CAPA, root cause, 8D)
Define quality risk management and mitigation mechanisms and IT tooling
Set up and conduct regular audits and inspections of our manufacturing facilities to identify areas for improvement and non-conformance
Develop and maintain quality records, statistical data, and reports, and develop systems to analyze and report on quality trends
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of raw materials and components used in the production process (cross-functional team to manage suppliers/manufacturers)
Analyse cases of breakage or interruptions in the field and implement counter-measures where needed
Prepare and contribute to the cross-functional Quality Board meetings and reporting structures
Job requirements
Degree in a product quality-related field, such as engineering, quality management, or business administration
5+ years of experience in quality management, quality control, or a related field, specifically in hardware products and electronics
Experience in the development and implementation of quality control plans, procedures, and policies for hardware products and electronics
Knowledge of quality management systems and tools, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or 8D/CAPA
Strong leadership and communication skills in English
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify the root causes of issues and develop solutions
Experience in managing the quality of custom-made electronics is a plus
