THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Prototype Engineer to join our innovative team in the field of Direct Air Capture (DAC). As a Prototype Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and helping with testing prototypes for our cutting-edge DAC technology. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to the iterative improvement of prototypes, and ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of (energy) efficiency, functionality sustainability, and feasibility for mass production.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
1. Prototype Design and Development:
Work closely with the DAC design team to understand project specifications and requirements.
Utilize engineering principles to test/validate physical prototypes of DAC systems.
Diagnose and improve prototype electrical system to optimize the system operation.
2. Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical Components:
Execute the assembly of prototypes, integrating mechanical and electrical components with precision.
Ensure seamless integration of various subsystems within the DAC prototype.
3. Continuous Improvement:
Being an active member of the ideation process at Skytree.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set-up testing procedures and analyze test results and implement iterative improvements to enhance prototype functionality.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Effectively communicate prototype design decisions, changes, and test outcomes to team members.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
Proven experience in rapid prototyping techniques, prototype development, specifically in designing and assembling mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles;
Familiarity with electrical diagrams. Modeling is not required but using drawings to build assemblies is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
