THE ROLE

As a Production Support Engineer, you will work with Skytree's contract manufacturer to troubleshoot and test Skytree products. You will collaborate closely with the Operations team, playing a vital role in production, testing, and product improvement to meet customer expectations. This role offers high autonomy, problem-solving, and growth opportunities. The onsite Production Support Engineer will oversee production activities at the contracted CMO site in Myslowice, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and timelines. This role involves coordinating with the CMO's team to manage production schedules, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, quality assurance, and experience working with CMOs. You will report to the Production Manager, who leads the function.


For the first 12 months, the role will entail (temporary) relocation to Finland. 


YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY

  • Effectively managing prototype production and scaling towards serial production.

  • Overseeing and optimizing daily production activities at the CMO site, ensuring schedule adherence, quality standards, and prompt issue resolution.

  • Implementing and maintaining strict quality control procedures, conducting regular audits, and collaborating with the CMO's quality assurance team to resolve issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Overseeing, document, and communicate FAT activities to ensure products meet acceptance criteria, collaborating with the quality manager to assess results and accept units.

  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high standards of operational excellence, including cost reduction and capacity increase projects.

  • Serving as the main liaison between Skytree and the CMO, coordinating production and FAT activities, providing regular updates, and ensuring alignment on production goals and quality standards.

  • Maintaining detailed production records, preparing reports on performance and quality metrics, and ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

  • Creating test plans, test reports and professional documentation to be able to enter EU, US and Asian markets and obtain safety and other certification(s) required

  • Occasional traveling to customers to solve problems on site.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineer, Manufacturing, or a related discipline

  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and regulatory standards.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and the CMO's staff.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in using production management software and quality assurance tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in business and technical English language, and Finish.

  • You are based in the Katowice/Myslowice are or within close commuting distance; 

  • You are willing to relocate to Finland for approx. 12 months at the start of the project;
