THE ROLE

We are seeking a visionary Product Owner - Software to lead the development of our groundbreaking management platform and embedded software for Direct Air Capture machines. This is a unique opportunity to shape the product experience in a cutting-edge and rapidly evolving industry.

The ideal candidate is a creative strategist with an entrepreneurial mindset, skilled in translating business goals and value into actionable roadmaps and prioritized product backlogs. Your mission will be to craft a seamless and impactful product experience that defines the standards for this emerging field.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Management and will work closely with Skytree's product management, strategy teams, and external partners, as well as engage with customers across the globe.

YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY

• Translating customer needs into concrete designs and specifications for new features;

• Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by the relevant development teams;

• Plan and prioritize software product development and product feature backlog

• Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy

• Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals

• Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities

• Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions on our software solutions

• Collaborate with the Product, Commercial and Strategy Teams as well as our customers for requirements gathering and use case definitions.

• Support the integration of Skytree technologies at test locations and customer sites, ensuring seamless collaboration with various stakeholders.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project

• Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals

• Work closely with product managers, commercial and strategy teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI

• Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management

• Engage with customers to understand their specific integration requirements and support development of customer centric solutions.

• Facilitate communication between Skytree’s internal teams (product management, strategy) and external partners to ensure project success.

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer sciences, Engineering or related discipline), relevant certifications such as SAFe POPM, Scrum PSPO or other are a pro.

• 5+ years proven experience in as a Product Owner for large products / systems and industrial / B2B platforms;

• Strong understanding of agile project management principles, methodologies, and tooling for software development and software product management;

• Ability to manage complex situations in a multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder environment;

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; 

• You have a proven track record of effectively managing and engaging with stakeholders from operational to C-level;

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required;

• You live in the Netherlands, within commuting distance from Amsterdam;

• You are willing to travel when needed domestic and international

• You are in possession of a valid drivers license.
