THE ROLE
We are developing our supply chain with outsourced production by partnering with contract manufacturers; searching and selection of these partner vendors across the EU are of strategic importance to Skytree and the Procurement Manager will play an important role in this process.
As Procurement Manager you will be responsible for new tender processes, strategic sourcing, negotiations, vendor relation management of our strategic partner contract manufacturers and material and component suppliers. You will be required to perform a lot of activities autonomously, but will also be part of cross functional teams and coordinating activities from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Ramp-Up and full scale production. You will further develop the vendor relations on all QLTCS-aspects (Quality, Logistics, Technical, Cost, Sustainability). You will monitor and manage the execution of contracts including SLA’s and lead supplier audits together with our quality manager.
This role sits in our European HQ, Amsterdam and reports into the Senior Procurement Manager.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Leading Sourcing and Selection Teams for new partner vendors for the EMEA Market.
Supporting our DAC Solutions team with relevant sourcing and contracting requirements.
Sourcing, negotiating, reviewing and managing contracts, and SOP’s.
Leading and coordinating cross functional teams to control our partner vendors.
Developing and maintaining vendor relations on QLTCS-aspects, leading vendor audit programs, driving cost down programs (ZBC), monitoring and securing the supply of critical components from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier vendors.
Supporting the Product and R&D departments with their procurement needs (issue/ monitor PO's).
Building and maintaining trusted relationships with CMOs and Suppliers.
Executing long term sourcing/supplier partnering strategy.
Executing and Optimizing bidding and supplier management processes.
Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors capable of providing the required technical products or services and will be used later on as vendors in production.
Understanding the technical aspects, specifications, and functionalities of the products or services being procured.
Assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions, technical failures, or quality issues, and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Working to achieve rapid delivery to avoid development delays, without compromising quality standards or due process.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
5+ years hands on experience in purchasing at international oriented production companies with high-tech products like machines and categories of mechanical hardware and electronic components.
EPC(m)/Contracts experience is highly desirable
Master’s or Bachelor’s (HBO) degree education (Engineering/ Business Economics/ Purchasing/ Logistics/ SCM).
Experience with leading cross functional teams at NPI, Ramp-Up, Life Cycle Management.
Negotiating skills and purchasing knowledge (Kraljic, incoterms, etc).
Additional purchasing adjudication or courses are appreciated.
