THE ROLE
As our Procurement Lead, you will be a crucial, hands-on leader within our Supply Chain organization, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. You will be responsible for building the critical procurement foundations required to support our rapid innovation and New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline.
This is a "player-coach" role for a leader who thrives in the dynamic and often ambiguous environment of a growing tech company. Your primary focus will be to personally drive the tactical execution of our procurement activities to enable mass manufacturing of our Stratus machine by 2H 2026, while leading and mentoring a team of four procurement professionals. You will establish the core processes, build the initial supply chain, and ensure we are set up for future success.
You will take ownership of building our Approved Vendor List (AVL) from the ground up, developing a robust Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) model, and creating sourcing strategies for all key component classes. You will work as a key partner to the Engineering and Product teams, embedding procurement early in the design process to de-risk the supply chain and hit our cost targets for new technologies. This role is central to ensuring our innovative products are ready for production on ambitious timelines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Extensive hands-on experience in procurement within high-tech production companies (machines/equipment) involving complex Bills of Materials.
Proven, demonstrable experience leading procurement activities through the New Product Introduction (NPI) and initial ramp-up phases of the product lifecycle. You must be adept at navigating the ambiguity and fast pace of an early-stage/growth-stage company.
A pragmatic and tactical operator who can think strategically; you are comfortable building processes and tools from scratch while simultaneously managing daily operational demands.
Deep expertise in strategic sourcing for new technologies, supplier qualification, and category management.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex commercial agreements with suppliers, covering terms, quality, and performance.
A Master’s or Bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Engineering, Business Economics, Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively across all levels of the organization.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Apart from working with great colleagues and a competitive package, you can also expect these additional benefits:
An opportunity for professional and personal growth in one of the most innovative climatetech start-ups in Amsterdam!
A diverse and international team
A competitive salary aligned with the market, with regular compensation reviews

25 vacation days per year, with additional special leave days for life events
