As a leader in direct air capture (DAC) of carbon dioxide, we are focused on bringing innovative products to market quickly and we understand the importance of enhancing and expanding our core material technologies.
You will support Skytree’s product development efforts internally and in close collaboration with external partners. You will expand Skytree’s capabilities to design and build testing equipment, prototypes, and to develop products.
Your main focus is design and build of control electronics and data acquisition systems for products and test equipment
You are the owner for the test bench and other key test equipment
You support the product team in developing and building prototypes
You are designing PCBs, defining electrical schematics, selecting board components, and generating physical board layouts
You are developing firmware, controls and data acquisition software for Arduino-based systems and other platforms (e.g. Labjack)
You are selecting and deploying key sensors
You are generating detailed requirements for products and test equipment
You are leading discussions with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver PCBs, sensors, and other critical electromechanical components
You are writing documentation, status reports, and operating procedures
You are supporting the surrounding Skytree team
Your experience Level is 3+ years, BS or MS
You are proficient in PCB design and layout
You are proficient in programming for Arduino-based systems
You have experience with basic controller design
You are familiar with a range of sensors and are able to perform sensor selection
You are comfortable with data acquisition and SCADA and have experience with typical communication protocols, including analog signal processing, serial, and ethernet/modbus
You are comfortable using Eagle (or similar) for PCB design and Fusion 360 (or similar) for basic CAD design
HVAC components and thermal-fluid systems
HVAC, automotive and building standards
You are a reliable self-starter who can work independently, while managing priorities across multiple, parallel projects
You have an open-mind and enjoy working as part of a diverse, multi-cultural team
You are a good communicator and can write clear, concise technical documentation
You are fluent in English, both verbally and in written form
