Born out of the European Space Agency (ESA), during the development of a CO2 scrubber, space scientists evaluated over 50 sorbents. Skytree founder, Max Beaumont, was a system engineer on this team and spun out the technology through the ESA incubator program 'ESA-BIC'. With a decade of research & development, the company has since registered 14 patents across US, Europe and China.
Today our decentralized direct air capture technology reduces emissions from supply chains, closes the carbon loop, saves energy and provides a viable pathway to a smarter carbon future. That is why we are on a mission to change people’s relationship with carbon, fast tracking the health of society and our planet.
Skytree is entering the next stage of growth and is currently expanding into exciting new markets. The marketing function is currently building its foundation from scratch to help Skytree scale. We are looking for a Marketing Communications Manager for this new role who is a customer champion and can easily plug in to shape and deliver on the Skytree marketing and communication objectives.
You have the experience, tenacity and drive to build a strong marketing foundation with our customers and partners and you constantly strive for meeting or exceeding targets. You have good networking and communication skills, polished copywriting skills, you know how to build rapport with people. You take initiative, have excellent organizational skills, have the ability to think strategically, analyze figures and write reports. You will bring a lot of energy, strong analytical skills, creative resiliency and passion to change people’s relationship with carbon capture and how it can benefit them.
Your tasks will include:
Demonstrating your creativity! Develop marketing communications materials and activities necessary to support the company’s growth objectives around new products and identified vertical markets
Own product positioning and messaging in a dynamic market - develop a compelling narrative and value propositions for our carbon solutions across top 3 segments
Public Relations – be the primary owner of PR delivery ensuring topics are progressive and supportive of Skytree’s overall brand and communication strategy
Be the brand champion! Ensure adherence to Skytree’s overall brand guidelines
Sales Enablement – create training and communication material to enable improved business development effectiveness and efficiency, both for Skytree teams and partners
Use your Digital Marketing experience – Responsible for modernizing Skytree’s digital footprint including activation and development of own, partner and social channels
Lead Generation – be responsible for the end-to-end lead generation & management process resulting in the handover of qualified leads to partners
Help drive effectiveness! Develop and leverage BI relating to MarCom and KPI’s in pursuit of improved MarCom effectiveness
Work closely with the industry experts to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevance in the market
Tight fiscal management of marketing communications allocated budget to maximize return on investment
Skills we are looking for
Creating, publishing and monitoring impact of high performing content
Organizing and coordinating your everyday with attention to detail
A lover of communication even in busy times and an adept communicator on all levels of the organization to keep things rolling
Excellent written and spoken English language skills (native speaking standard for copywriting and proofing)
Ability to combine high creativity with strength of implementation and a strong quality awareness
Digital experience and proficiency running digital campaigns, search engine optimization, with experience to measure success from campaigns and working with social platforms
Some experience with public relations would be ideal but is not essential
Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
Demonstrable experience building from scratch as an entrepreneur or intrapreneur
At least 4 years proven marketing experience targeting B2B
Delivering a purpose driven product or service
A can-do attitude and strong team player that relishes autonomy over micro-management and loves getting stuff done
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.)
Proficiency with GSuite and Adobe Creative
