THE PROJECT
As Quality Intern you will be participating in the implementation project for the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software application. This project is crucial for controlling all design and manufacturing data. This data is managed in individual software applications and the PLM system becomes the central database that controls all of this data. In your role you will make an inventory of all available data with their parameters. Based on this, the integration and migration of this data to the PLM system needs to be prepared.
As Quality Intern you will be the spider in the web controlling all of this information in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and will be responsible for the configuration management of the technical documentation. This role reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality Department.
Learning Objectives:
Insight in the design and manufacturing structure of a complex technical installation (Direct Air Capture machine)
Understanding the configuration management and Change control of the theoretical design versus the actual manufactured product
Understanding Product lifecycle from a Requirements, Design, Manufacturing and final Service and Maintenance perspective.
Internship duration- 4 months, full-time, 40 hrs a week.
Start date- July/August 2025
This position does not meet the criteria for employer sponsorship, therefore we are unable to support work permit or residency applications.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Participating in the PLM implementation project team, together with PTC-Arena
Analysis of all available data in the different software applications (Inventor, Vault, E-Plan, Microsoft Dynamics)
Make inventory of all parameters that need data exchange
Prepare all data for data migration
Work closely with Sustaining Engineering for set-up of the Change Control Process
Together with Quality Engineering implement the Non-conformity process
Perform User Acceptance Testing of the PLM system
The configuration of the technical documentation is implemented upon going live
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Production engineering, Industrial engineering, Quality Assurance, Data management or a related field.
Past experience in a technical environment is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Affinity with computerized data management.
Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is a plus.
You have strong analytical skills.
Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PLM system (Arena) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills- engaging with all levels in the organization, from technical specialist to top management.
You take initiative and think outside of the box.
You are already based in the Netherlands, within commuting distance to Amsterdam.
