We are Skytree

Skytree enables a transition to a world with cleaner Air for everyone. We do this by developing and deploying smart technology that captures atmospheric carbon dioxide, enabling its use or storage to combat climate change and aid society and businesses around the world.

Born out of the European Space Agency (ESA), we are a global team of highly talented scientists, engineers and business professionals, supported by an experienced management team. Our working culture is based on a dynamic and smart approach to business with an open and understanding attitude to others and a desire to expand the boundaries of what is possible.

As we continue our international growth, we are looking for an experienced, ownership-driven General Buyer who thrives working independently while maintaining close collaboration with our HQ Procurement Team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role is based in Katowice, Poland.

Ready to make your mark on the world of CO2? Then read on!

The Role

As a General Buyer, you will be Skytree's procurement presence on the ground in Poland, supporting both technical and general purchasing for our growing operations. You will source and procure technical products and services for our manufacturing and engineering teams. You also handle the day-to-day general purchasing the business needs to run smoothly, from indirect spend and office requirements to consumables, services and supplier coordination.

This is a hands-on role with real breadth. You will report to the Procurement Lead (based in Amsterdam) and work closely with colleagues across all departments within Skytree and the wider Procurement team.

It's a great opportunity for someone early in their procurement career to build deep buying skills while also getting broad exposure to how a scaling clean-tech company actually operates.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Managing day-to-day indirect and general procurement: office supplies, consumables, services, facilities-related spend and ad-hoc business needs.

  • Raising and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and following up with suppliers to keep things moving.

  • Maintaining clean supplier records and procurement documentation.

  • Working closely with Finance to ensure proper procedure, accurate administration and timely invoice and payment processing.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Identifying and helping mitigate procurement risks (supply disruptions, quality issues, single-source dependencies).

  • Supporting supplier audits and scoring activities.

  • Keeping up to date with market trends and supplier developments relevant to your categories.

What we’re looking for

  • 0 to 3 years of hands-on purchasing experience. With interest in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment.

  • A Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Eagerness to blend strategic technical sourcing with essential administrative and general purchasing tasks to ensure seamless end-to-end procurement workflows.

  • Reliable and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy and consistency in high-volume administrative tasks.

  • Solid organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Existing Right to Work in Poland.

Highly beneficial

  • Familiarity with procurement concepts such as Kraljic, Incoterms, RFQs and basic contract terms.

  • Interest in technical products.

  • Interest in green tech, Carbon Capture, or environmental impact.

  • Additional purchasing certifications or courses (e.g. CIPS or local equivalents).

What can you expect

  • A competitive salary package aligned with Polish market standards, with regular review cycles.

  • Employment contract compliant with Polish labour law (with full statutory protections and stability).

  • A unique scale-up environment with real ownership and fast professional growth opportunities.

  • Exposure to international finance operations across Europe and the Netherlands HQ.

  • A diverse, international team (+33 nationalities) where collaboration is global, not hierarchical.

  • A fast-moving, impact-driven culture where your work is visible and matters.
