THE ROLE

As Field Services Technician- NL, you will be tasked with ensuring Skytree’s products (Direct Air Capture Machines) are supported and maintained effectively and efficiently on a national and international scale through our Uptime Assurance SLA’s and a network of internal technicians and external services support companies. This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be based in the Netherlands and will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services on-site, directly at the location of our equipment across Europe, as well as providing support and guidance to customer technical teams.

Customer satisfaction and delight will be at the forefront of everything you do as well as maintaining high excellence standards. Overall, you will be responsible for executing maintenance, repairs and support activities to achieve uptime assurance to our customers.This role sits within the Field Operations team and will report into the Field Service Manager- EU.

YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY

  • Assembly & Commissioning: Support the setup, assembly, and commissioning of new DAC machines at customer sites to ensure optimal performance.

  • Maintenance and repairs: Inspect, clean, service and troubleshoot DAC machines, addressing leaks, wear, and component replacements on-site.

  • Customer Support: Provide remote and on-site technical assistance, resolve issues, and guide customers on machine maintenance and operation.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in service reports.

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow safety regulations, use PPE, ensure QHSE compliance, conduct audits, and report incidents.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience & Education: At least 2 years in operations/service in a hardware company with a technical/diploma or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, systems automation, industrial machinery, and control systems; knowledge of HVAC and air filtration is a plus.

  • Certifications: You are Nen 3140 certified (or its equivalent), Nen 1010 certification (good to have)

  • Work Approach: Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines with strong organizational skills.

  • Travel & Compliance: Willingness to travel, including overnight stays; valid EU visa and driver’s license. 

  • Communication & Customer Focus: Strong English communication skills (Dutch is a plus) and a commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes.
