THE ROLE
As a Field Services Engineer - EU, you will ensure the effective maintenance and support of Skytree’s Direct Air Capture Machines across Europe through Uptime Assurance SLA’s and a network of technicians and service partners. Your role includes on-site and remote technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting, prioritizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Reporting to the Field Services Manager - EU, you will be based in Amsterdam with regular travel to contractor and customer sites.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Assembly & Commissioning: Support the setup, configuration, and commissioning of new DAC machines at customer sites to ensure optimal performance.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules, diagnose issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Performance Optimization: Collect and analyze machine data, define automation strategies, and improve reliability and efficiency.
Training & Technical Support: Provide training to on-site personnel, offer remote assistance, and develop operational procedures.
QHSE & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, conduct audits, report incidents, and drive continuous QHSE training.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Education: At least 3 years in operations/service in a hardware company with a technical/BsC diploma or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, systems automation, industrial machinery, and control systems; knowledge of HVAC and air filtration is a plus.
Certifications: You are Nen 3140 certified (or its equivalent), Nen 1010 certification (good to have)
Work Approach: Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines with strong organizational skills.
Travel & Compliance: Willingness to travel, including overnight stays; valid EU visa and driver’s license.
Communication & Customer Focus: Strong English communication skills (Dutch is a plus) and a commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes.
