Your role and learning opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Project Development team that works on Direct Air Capture projects for large scale applications. You will directly support Skytree's global growth strategy, with a focus on the North American (NAM) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets.
You will gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving carbon capture and utilization sector. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about climate tech, renewable energy, and sustainable policy.
NOTE:
This internship duration is 5-6 months, full-time, 40 hours /week.
The start date is ASAP.
This position does not meet the criteria for employer sponsorship therefore, we are unable to support work permit or residency applications. Candidates must be already based in The Netherlands, ideally near Amsterdam. Transportation allowance is offered, however, accommodation is not provided.

You’ll make an impact by
As part of the Project Development Team, your activities will be dynamic and impactful. Key responsibilities might include but will not be limited to:
Market & Technology Research: Conduct in-depth desk research on key industry topics, including Power-to-X (P2X) and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
Policy & Advocacy Support: Actively follow and report on regional policy developments, regulations, and incentives related to Direct Air Capture (DAC) and carbon utilization in NAM and APAC.
Grant & Funding Research: Identify and research relevant grants, subsidies, and funding opportunities; support the team in preparing and applying for these grants.
Business Development Support: Assist the project development team in the efforts to expand Skytree's presence and deploy DAC projects across the NAM and APAC regions.
Stakeholder Analysis: Help map and analyze key stakeholders, including potential customers, partners, and government bodies.
What we’re looking for
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program, preferably in Engineering, Environmental Science, Policy, Business, or a related field
A demonstrable passion for climate technology, sustainability, and tackling climate change
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Has the curiosity and eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects. Can maintain steady motivation and follow-through, even when work gets busy
You are already based in the Netherlands, within commuting distance to Amsterdam.
