THE ROLE
Skytree is well-positioned to be a true disruptor in the carbon tech space in the years to come. An essential part of our success will come from you, the CFD Engineer. In this role, you would play a critical role in optimizing the processes involving the flow and interaction of gasses, especially CO₂. Furthermore, our CFD Engineer would be essential in advancing the company's CO₂ capture technology by providing critical insights into how the systems behave under various fluid dynamic conditions, ultimately leading to more efficient and scalable designs.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Simulate and optimize gas flows, particularly CO₂, in Skytree's air capture units to improve airflow efficiency, minimize pressure drops, and enhance CO₂ absorption rate.
Analyze and simulate heat transfer and mass exchange within CO₂ capture materials to optimize airflow, temperature interactions, and the CO₂ absorption and release process.
Optimize the design of Skytree’s CO₂ capture devices to enhance energy efficiency and reduce the energy required for CO₂ regeneration by improving thermal and flow conditions.
Collaborate with Skytree’s R&D teams to test new materials and designs using CFD models, simulating various operating conditions to ensure system performance across different scenarios.
Assist in prototype design and testing by providing insights into airflow and system performance, and validate CFD simulations by comparing them with experimental data from lab and pilot-scale systems.
Identify bottlenecks in the CO₂ capture process by analyzing fluid and gas behavior, and propose solutions to enhance device performance using CFD insights.
Assessing the structural integrity and performance of Skytree’s systems under different fluid dynamic loads to ensure durability and stability.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
