The Role

Skytree is well-positioned to be a true disruptor in the carbon tech space this year. An essential element of our success will come from you, the Business Development Manager Europe. This is a challenging “full-stack” sales role that ensures Skytree will meet its commercial targets.

In this role you will be responsible for acquiring, establishing, and nurturing long-term partnerships with our resellers and customers with deal values varying from 50k to multiple millions. As one of the pioneers in the commercial team you will shape the culture of the European commercial team for the years to come. We are looking for entrepreneurial/builders/optimistic individuals.

The Business Development Manager holds a "trusted advisor" position and establishes a long-term relationship with their clients. We don’t believe in closing deals and then forgetting about it, we are in it for the long haul with everyone we do business with. As we grow - you will have an opportunity to grow your own team.

Your tasks will include:

  • Developing a portfolio of active clients within the Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) market segments: Vertical Framing, Greenhouses, Algae Farms, Breweries and future markets Skytree will enter into;

  • Utilize the various business models, such as hardware and services sales, leasing and CO2 as a Service, to optimize customer lifetime value. Being a master storyteller and salesperson for Skytree and all the benefits our products and services provide;

  • Identifying client needs and helping them to understand the optimum approach for the right Skytree solution;

  • Executing regional GTM plans for each vertical and accurately maintaining our CRM;

  • Effectively collaborating with internal teams to ensure a world-class customer experience and long-term client success;

  • Provide local insights from users on how to further enhance the product and Skytree value proposition;

  • Conducting existing client and partner meetings to optimize the customer experience and maximize the NPS values.

Job requirements

  • Native-level fluency in English and professional fluency in another European language;

  • 5+ years of experience in business development and/or strategic partnership management;

  • Proven experience of target driven sales, preferably in the climate technology / hardware;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills on all levels including presenting for an audience;

  • Self-starter capable of working independently;

  • Excited about working as a new entrant in a competitive market in a fast-paced, ever-changing scale-up environment;

  • Able to effectively consider the short, medium, and long-term needs of clients.
