As we enter a new phase of growth, we are looking for an agile and forward thinking Accounting and Finance Lead to continue this journey with us.
Your role
This role leads core accounting and finance operations including A/R, A/P, and foundational controllership functions, while building and guiding a high-performing team of two junior finance professionals. You’ll help shape scalable financial processes in a fast-growing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management and excellent analytical skills. This position reports directly to the Finance Director while working closely with the CFO. This is a great opportunity for a junior controller looking to grow or a Senior Accountant looking to step up to a controllership role.

You’ll make an impact by:
Managing all accounting operations for 5 entities (3 Dutch, 1 USA, 1 Canada) and more to be set up this year, including Billing, A/R, A/P, as well as fundamental controllership tasks.
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Lead and develop a small finance team (Accountant + Finance Assistant), fostering efficiency and ownership
Helping with further development/implementation of MS Dynamics modules.
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Booking general accrual and journal entries, including payroll.
Supporting monthly complex, cross-country VAT, ICP and other tax filings.
Actively managing cash, treasury activities and preparing cashflow statements and projections.
Managing internal budgeting and procurement approval workflows.
What we’re looking for
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Qualified CPA / ACA / AA / RA / CA with 5–7 years of combined accounting and finance experience, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage; experience with a comparable ERP system is required.
Exposure to dynamic operations, manufacturing, or hardware environments is a plus.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch financial reporting requirements; familiarity with US/Canada reporting standards is a major advantage.
Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and the month-end/year-end close process.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and financial statement preparation.
Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
Based in and with working experience in The Netherlands is highly preferred.
